Make Up Dates for Jennerstown Speedway Races Announced

(Jennerstown, PA)  Four of the five scheduled “Feature Races” were rained out on Saturday, May 26, when Jennerstown Speedway Complex launched the 2018 racing season.  The J&J Truck Equipment RUSH Street Stock division race was completed before the downpour, with Josh Coughenour emerging as the victor.

Preliminary “heat races” for the Martella's Pharmacies RUSH Late Models, Stoystown Auto Wreckers RUSH Modifieds, Farmers Union Co-Op Chargers, and Somerset Trust Company Fast 'n Furious 4-Cylinders were completed on “Opening Night.”  Therefore, the starting lineups for the critical “Feature Races” were set, when Mother Nature halted the action.  Officials have announced the dates for each division to make up the races, which will add to the agenda of four “Motor Mountain Mania” events in June.  Not only will all the events remain at regular admission prices, with the additional on-track competition, but all tickets from the three events scheduled in May will be honored for admission on June 2.

Saturday June 2, the Martella’s Pharmacies RUSH Late Models will compete in a full program of heat and feature races, as originally scheduled.  Also, those drivers will compete in a second, 30-lap feature race on the same night, to complete the May 26 racing program.  The added Late Model race will take the green flag with the cars in the same ordered lineup as determined before the rain, last Saturday.

The Somerset Trust Company Fast 'n Furious 4-Cylinders division drivers will, similarly, make up their rained out May 26 Feature Race on Saturday, June 9.  The double-feature-race-night for the “4’s” occurs on First Responder Appreciation Night, during which all Fire Fighters, Police Officers, and Emergency Responders will be honored with free admission (proper identification required), courtesy of the Somerset Trust Company.

One week later, on Saturday June 16, the Stoystown Auto Wreckers RUSH Modifieds will compete in double feature races.  June 16 is also Autograph Night, with a pre-race “meet and greet” for fans, with drivers from all five divisions of Motor Mountain Mania. The Modified drivers will participate in a total of 40 laps of feature competition that night.

Saturday, June 30, the Farmers Union Co-Op Chargers will make up the May 26 feature race.  That night, the Somerset Trust Company Fast 'n Furious 4-Cylinders have the night off, but the Ron’s Collision Center Enduro Series will be in action, along with the double Charger features.

Due to the pair of Motor Mountain Mania cancellations, on consecutive weeks leading up to the abbreviated “Opening Night” races, Jennerstown Speedway management has decided to honor all tickets for admission, on the first Saturday of June.  Tickets dated May 12, May 19, and May 26 can all be used for admission on June 2.
